Xiang-Lan (Koran) Lee joined ScienBiziP in 2016. She is currently the Deputy Director of ScienBiziP Japan Co., Ltd.’s Intellectual Property (IP) Consulting Center. Ms. Lee has more than 10 years of experience in the IP industry and a strong engineering background, with specializations in electrical and electronic engineering. In addition, Ms. Lee has worked as an engineer in the word’s first vehicle-Bluetooth-device development project.
Working at One-Blue on patent-related business provided Ms. Lee with the opportunity to begin her career in the IP industry. In the years that followed, she has continued to strengthen and develop her professional skills, including returning to school for a master’s degree in law while she was working.
With more than 10 years of IP experience, Ms. Lee has a wide range of knowledge in areas that include patent applications, SEP patent evaluations, licensing, FTO, and other businesses in different stages of the patent lifecycle. Currently, Ms. Lee specializes in providing comprehensive IP consulting services to Japanese clients. These services include IP industrialization research and analysis, IP R&D and patent portfolio, product technology IP surveillance and design-around, and business model and operation analysis of standard patents, among others. Ms. Lee graduated from Gifu University with an electrical and electronic engineering degree and received her master’s degree in law from Osaka University.
